COVID-19 UpdatE

Dear Members,

The Government confirmed that in England, most legal restrictions are being removed with effect from 19th July 2021. They have, however, given some rather ambiguous guidance as to continuing safeguards which should be taken whilst the current rate of infection continues and have left each venue or business to communicate their own measures to those using their facilities.

The Committee has therefore decided that for the protection and safety of all Members and their families and friends as well as the staff you are requested to continue to :

~ Sign in on arrival

~Use the hand sanitiser

~Wear a mask until seated and when moving around in the Club

The club will continue to provide table service and we will also reinstate the bar stools and allow drinking at the bar BUT NO STANDING at the bar for an initial trial period

We want you to feel safe at your Club

We still Recommend booking Snooker tables in advance

All snooker tables to be in use and equipment to be cleaned after use.

During this enforced closure, the remaining areas of flat roof have been resurfaced (apart from over the kitchen which is still in reasonable condition) and comes with a 15-year guarantee.  Also, the air conditioning in the snooker room has been replaced (beyond economical repair).   You will find that other works also have been undertaken.

The function room is already in use by various groups from Monday to Friday of each week.    Our tenants have also been present throughout the lockdown.

The Club will be open daily

Please see below for Club opening hours and take note that the Bar will be open 30 minutes after the Club Opens and will shut 30 minutes before closing time to allow the staff to carry out cleaning and other duties

Please take note of any Govt. guidance or regulations which will be strictly adhered to by the Club and will obviously be subject to change at short notice.

If in any doubt please refer to the Club notice board or the duty steward.
