COVID-19 UpdatE

Regretfully Government legislation has deemed that with effect from 5th January 2021 a National Lockdown has been ordered and we are therefore prohibited from opening until such legislation expires or we are permitted to open after further Government instruction

As you know the Annual Club Charity Christmas Draw was due to take place on 21st December. Due to the frustrations of Tiers 2, 3, and 4 most of you were unable to deliver prizes to the Club.

So a preliminary Draw took place on the 21st December and was performed by our Chairman Bob Day’s Grandson. The Winning ticket number was 0721and the winner received a bumper selection of wine donated by the club.

When we are allowed to reopen the Club we will announce a new draw date to include all tickets purchase by Members who will then have the opportunity to donate further prizes

All Proceeds will be divided between local charities

In the meantime the Estuary Club Committee wish all Members and their families as Happy and Prosperous a New Year as it is possible to have under the present difficult circumstances. Above all please adhere to Government guidelines and KEEP SAFE !!

We hope that the information and opening hours listed below will be reinstated as soon as possible but please refer back to this web site or Emails received from the Club when the situation changes

Hours of opening will be restricted due to cleaning and economic requirements. Please refer to the opening hours that will be applicable below which will be amended as the current situation develops.

Please note that in order to comply with Govt. regulations we can only accommodate a limited number of people. Social distancing obviously does not apply to partners or those occupying the same household “bubble” .

Regretfully we have to impose a time limit of 90 mins per club visit to be fair to all members (Unless space permits due to no members waiting for admittance). We would strongly advise booking a slot in advance as we will be unable to admit customers beyond this limit. Weather permitting we will, however, have 2 outside “overspill” tables available should members wish to wait for availability in the club. Naturally drinks will also be served at these tables

It is also advisable to reserve a 90 min slot for the snooker tables which will be restricted in accordance with social distancing and sanitising guidance.

Please take note of any Govt. guidance or regulations which will be strictly adhered to by the Club and will obviously be subject to change at short notice.

Please note that the Club is currently in a Tier 1 area and the regulations of that Tier will apply except to members or guests that live in a Tier 2 area when visits to the Club can only be undertaken under Tier 2 regulations

The Club will now open on Saturdays from Noon until 5.00 pm but will remain open until 8.00pm at the discretion of the duty steward depending on prevailing circumstances.

If in any doubt please refer to the Club notice board or the duty steward.
